DOJ launches investigation into Alabama county wastewater management
People living in Lowndes County, Alabama, have gotten sick with hookworm and other illnesses because of poor wastewater treatment systems. Now, the Department of Justice is investigating the county and the state to find out whether health departments have discriminated against Black residents.
