Gas explosion in San Francisco Bay Area damages homes
Six people were transported to area hospitals after a building exploded Thursday in Hayward, California, according to fire officials. Their conditions were not immediately clear. The blast apparently occurred after a construction crew damaged an underground gas line, according to utility officials.
